Our window to make a positive difference.
As important as they are, we have always believed that building a positive internal team culture, longstanding partnerships, and strong customer relationships are not the sole measures of our success. We also believe that social responsibility and corporate citizenship in our community are equally essential components.
As such, we know it is part of who we are; to give back and to act in a way that is consistent with our values — and this starts with being active in our community.
Here are just a few examples of our community leadership.
- Our foundation has been built on sharing knowledge and ensuring the education about our industry is accessible to anyone who seeks it. This basis was the impetus behind events such as ‘GlassDay®’ — where we offer AIA/AIBC seminars, networking, and plant tours; we also host specialists to train, learn or teach at our facility, and vice versa.
- We are committed to doing our utmost to reduce our carbon footprint. We take our environmental impact seriously, minimizing waste in the products that we use and manufacture. We have implemented several measures throughout our facility to decrease our hydro, electricity, and material waste through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- We organize regular team-building events such as dunk tanks, summer BBQs, Christmas toy drives, potlucks, with the goal of raising funds for BC Children’s Hospital, our preferred charity.
- Safety at the forefront – Think Safe, Act Safe, Be Safe. We have a duty to keep everyone that we come in contact with at our facility safe. If you see something, say something! We proactively identify hazards, mitigate risks, and have been BCCSA COR Certified since 2008.
We look forward to continuing to build a legacy of purposeful beauty, a sustainable future for all, and supporting our community and industry.
